No air conditioning in Europe
While traveling overseas, I was shocked to discover that much of Europe does not use air conditioning.
My first night in a British hotel it was 77 degrees plus I left the hotel awful reviews for their lack of any sort of a/c.
I was actually uncomfortable plus not used to this at all. I felt awful over the next few weeks as I discovered that none of the hotels that I stayed in had air conditioning, but for that matter, neither did the stores, museums, or any place else. It was actually rare to walk into any building in any part of Europe plus encounter air conditioned air. I got used to it after a while. For the most part, that part of the world just isn’t that hot. And yet, when I had an overnight layover on my way back home, I was cheerful to discover that my hotel had air conditioning. As I boarded my final flight apartment I used the app on my cellphone to set my smart control component to 69 degrees so that it would be nice when I got home. I kept the a/c set to about 78 while I was gone. I did not want the humidity to build up too much. However, I actually wanted my apartment to be super comfortable when I walked in the door so I am cheerful I had the smart control component installed a few years ago. It makes it actually simple to adjust the temperature in my apartment even from half a world away. It worked just as planned plus I got to sleep in my own bed with the air conditioning blasting away that night.
