Heat pump for retirement home
After my buddy and I purchased our retirement home, my buddy and I knew my buddy and I would need to have the boiler updated… The previous homeowner told us it did not work, then with winter season fast approaching, my wifey plus I got right on calling the boiler contractors before my buddy and I even moved in; I know my buddy and I were both planning on getting just a great outdated fashioned boiler, at first… But then the contractor told us about this thing called a heat pump that saves a lot of currency on the electric bill, however at first, I didn’t know what a heat pump does.
I thought that anything that directs heat into our apartment must be a heat pump, right? Well it turns out that I was technically right.
The broad term for any furnace is a heat pump, and however, what everyone refer to as a heat pump is a bit more particular; Essentially, it is a cooling system. I know, this just gets more confusing but bear with me, but so it works like a cooling system, like an a/c, but instead of the freezing air going into the house, the freezing air goes outside plus the hot air, from the workings of the unit, go into the house. So it is an a/c but in reverse. I am sure the contractor did a better task describing it than me. But a reverse a/c is the best way to understand what a heat pump is. Anyway, so my buddy and I decided to get this heat pump installed instead of a more traditional boiler. It cost more, upfront, but it will save us a lot in the long run.
