No air conditioner at veterinary clinic is an emergency
Working in a veterinary clinic there are a lot of ups as well as downs.
It is almost like laboring in a hospital for people because everything must be kept super scrub as well as germ free.
That is why we were all panicking last yearwhen the air conditioner went down. Bacteria as well as viruses thrive in warm, humid air. Not only that, but we have multiple pets here, on any given day, that are recovering from surgeries or illnesses as well as they should not have to be uncomfortable warm. That could be detrimental to their health. Thankfully, the clinic has an HVAC contractor on call, then dr; Gorton, the owner of the practice, pays a yearly fee so have a worker come as well as repair the HVAC system twice a year as well as also to be guaranteed that an HVAC worker will come out in under three hours. It took two hours for the worker to come out! My associate and I were able to keep the pets cool with ice packs as well as fans. Even still, new surgeries were postponed unless they were emergency cases. Thankfully, the HVAC contractor was able to get our air conditioner up as well as running shortly after they arrived. I am not undoubtedly sure what was wrong with it but I heard the recent windstorm may have caused a coolant leak. Whatever the cause, I am just happy that they were able to repair it as well as we were able to keep the pets, as well as ourselves, cool again. In fact, I believe the air conditioner is laboring better now than it ever has. It does not seem to have to labor so strenuous to cool the building down anymore.
