Why does the pilot keep going out?

You working many years my husband and I were finally in a position to retire. We were excited to be able to spend time together doing what we love. Many people dream of traveling abroad or going to exotic places once they are retired however, my husband and I have always been avid outdoors people and wanted to spend time seeing that beautiful country that we live in. We decided to sublet an apartment for a year and purchase an RV to travel around to see various states. This would enable us to take advantage of the best weather depending on the time of year and we look forward to not having to deal with the snow and ice of winter. We knew that the RV had a full HVAC system so we weren’t even worried if the weather turned a bit cool because we could simply turn on the heat. When the time arrives that we needed to turn the heat on it only stayed on for a few moments and then shut off again. My husband is pretty handy so he pulled out the owner’s manual and went out to check to see what the problem might be. He said that he had to relight the pilot light and turn the heat back on, but once again it went off within a few moments. I went online and found the closest RV dealer that had a repair shop and we headed over to have them look at it. It turned out that there was a hole in the supply line which was causing a safety valve to shut the pilot off so that there wouldn’t be a leak of propane. I was sure glad that we are taking it in for service.
