My indoor fan is not laboring
I like to utilize as much of my heating, ventilation and air conditioning system as much as possible, for example I like to use my fan that comes with my Heating and Air Conditioning system; There are several times where I will go to my thermostat and switch on the fan so I can get more cool air flowing through my household especially in the summertime… However when I went to my thermostat to switch the fan on, the fan was not laboring, then before I called for service there were a few basic things that I wanted to check before I called.
- First I wanted to make sure that there was power to the indoor unit and that my breaker that was downstairs in my basement wasn’t off, when I went to the breaker the breaker wasn’t off, so I knew that that wasn’t the issue.
Then I went to my air filter to make sure it wasn’t restrained with any dust or dander. But as I was pulling out the air filter I remembered that I changed the air filter about a month ago so that wasn’t it, however so I called my heating and cooling company because I had a feeling that there was something a little bit more drastic with my fan and something that I could not fix, luckily the professional was able to come to my household that day to diagnose the problem… It turns out that there was a faulty fan belt which was preventing the fan from laboring normally. Thankfully the professional had an extra fan belt for my Heating and Air Conditioning system and he was able to update it that day so I was able to use my fan again!
