The most important part of choosing a hotel for me.
There are a lot of things that go into choosing the right hotel for your vacation.
Does it have a pleasing view of the surrounding area? Is it in close proximity to the places that you will be visiting? Does it provide adequate accommodations? Is breakfast available downstairs or are there food vendors and restaurants available inside the hotel or right nearby? Of course, I love it when all of these things line up and the hotel is clean and luxurious and comfortable.
However, if I have to start ticking things like this off the list, then I have to admit that the very last thing that I would be willing to part with is whether or not there is good climate control in the hotel. In fact, I have come to expect the hotels I visit to have some of the best air conditioning I’ve ever experienced. My wife prefers it a little warmer than I do in our bedroom, so I have to admit that when I get a hotel room all to myself, there’s nothing quite like turning the thermostat down low and blasting the fan at maximum. The combination of the freezing air and soothing sound from the air conditioner’s fan blowing puts me right to sleep. Although, I have to admit that I need a warm, comfortable bed with thick blankets in order for everything to come together for me to sleep well. It’s hard to explain if you don’t get it, but the feeling of having to take refuge in a warm bed from freezing air is a great feeling! It makes you feel all cozy.
