The freeway accident delayed me by an hour
I had an HVAC maintenance appointment scheduled for 2:00 in the afternoon.
I got up early in the morning and I went downtown to run some errands.
I had to go to the dry cleaner, bank, and the grocery store. The dry cleaner had all of my clothes ready so I was in and out very quickly. There was a line at the bank, but I expected that on a friday. I had a list at the grocery store and I tried to move through each item as quickly and thoroughly as possible. I finished up with all of my chores around noon. I went through a drive-thru to grab a burger, fries, and a chocolate milkshake. I knew that I had plenty of time to make the 30-minute drive home and still have a few minutes to tidy up the house before the HVAC maintenance technician arrived. I did not expect to run into an accident on the freeway. The freeway accident delayed me by an hour. I pulled into the driveway just a few minutes before the HVAC maintenance technician. I didn’t have time to clean up the house or wash the dishes from breakfast. I was terribly embarrassed by the mess in the kitchen, but the HVAC technician did not seem to care at all. The young man was there to do a job and he quickly and diligently completed the 40 point maintenance inspection. If I would have been delayed by another 30 minutes, I would have completely missed my appointment. I’m thankful there was an officer close to the scene of the accident.
