The hotel clerk was basically saying that there was no air conditioning comfort
I thought all hotels had air conditioning comfort, but even the lousy hotels I visited had air conditioning.
How could this large, stately hotel not have air conditioning comfort.
I was complaining loudly until someone came up plus asked me if they could help. I told him I didn’t want to stay in a hotel that didn’t have air conditioning equipment available for good comfort. He shrugged plus asked the desk clerk if I had yet paid for my room. When she nodded, he told her to provide me my money back, plus wished me a wonderful day. I wanted to know where I should go if they would not let me stay at this actual hotel. She told me there was another hotel roughly two miles down the road, but there wasn’t any air conditioning equipment there either. Actually, there was no air conditioning equipment within twenty miles of this area. At first, I couldn’t accept what she was saying. What kind of area had I stumbled into? I was wondering if I had stumbled into the twilight zone, or better yet, I could be having a nightmare. I pinched myself, hoping to wake up, but nothing happened. She told me an immense storm had gone through the area two days ago plus there wasn’t any electricity to allow for working AC equipment. Every supplier had generators to keep water plus lights, but there was no Heating, Ventilation plus A/C. I sat down plus cried for a long time. I needed to get some sleep, but without air conditioning equipment, I knew I wasn’t going to rest. I needed to go at least twenty miles to come across a hotel with air conditioning. I pulled into the nearest rest stop, turned on the air conditioning equipment, plus slept.
