Summer with geo heat pump is exciting
I’ve never been one to be super amped up about the air conditioning coming on.
In fact, I’ve spent a great deal of effort, energy and money to be sure that we aren’t over cooling our house.
Where I live, that’s something that is pretty easy to do given how blistering hot it gets starting about right now. The early part of June is traditionally the time when the heat pump is kicking on more and more for cooling. Of course, the cooling is great and something that we truly need simply to manage through the Summer heat. That said, it’s so easy to just keep moving the thermostat setting lower and worry about the costs later. But I’m actually eager for the air conditioning to start doing its Summertime thing because I want to see how the geo heat pump does in Summer. I already know what it does in the Winter. Granted, it’s not like we replaced a gas furnace with the new geothermal heat pump. We don’t live quite far enough north for that sort of Winter heating demand. And that’s not hurting my feelings at all by the way. Still, we get cold weather and we had previously leaned on our traditional heat pump for heating. It did fine for sure but it wasn’t all that cozy. Well, that all changed thanks to the geo heat pump installed by the HVAC professionals. This thing produces radiant floor heating that is simply amazing. It was easily the most cozy and toasty Winter inside our home this year. Now, I want to see just what the geo heat pump can do for us over our hot and humid Summer.
