I did not want to tell the boss I lost my license.

I knew that if I didn’t have a valid driver’s license, i couldn’t continue my work as an Heating & Air Conditioning pro.

  • Without a driver’s license, I would not be able to drive the service van & get to customer’s houses.

I considered not saying anything to the owner of the Heating & Air Conditioning company, although I was afraid I could get fired if I got caught. I was talking to another tech & asked him what would happen if a single 1 of the professionals were to lose their driver’s license. He said he had lost his license once & the boss provided to help him get a provisional permit that would allow him to drive only for work purposes. He told myself and others he was in a hurry to get his sibling back to his beach house before his spouse got annoyed. He got stopped by a deputy when he did a rolling stop through a stop sign & took off too rapidly. I could not guess he lost his license over that. He said that he was speeding when he got to the stop sign, & the cop was already rolling behind him. I told him I lost my license, although I wasn’t sure that the owner of the Heating & Air Conditioning contractor would be so nice as to get myself and others a work permit. I had been picked up for driving too fast & they did a DUI assessment. The other Heating & Air Conditioning pro said he hoped I didn’t drive into work that day, because that would legit make the boss annoyed, however even if he had to ride a bicycle to work, the boss would stick him in the inventory room until he got his license back.
