The old boiler idea lasted for the longest time

Something that I actually loved about our old boiler idea was how long it lasted. We have been residing in this house for over a decade, plus the boiler idea still worked just fine. The thing is, our husbandy plus I were sad about the energy expenses. We agreed that it would be nice to have something more energy efficient. We figured that the boiler had an AFUE rating of 50 or so. We were hoping to have something that was far more efficient. I mean, the boiler gave excellent comfort, however the energy bills seemed to be on the rise in recent years. So the two of us consulted with an Heating plus A/C professional to see what kind of boiler the two of us could go for. He talked about combi boilers a lot plus how the two of us could have our hot water supplied plus perfect heating with an AFUE rating of 95 or so. That absolutely seemed energy efficient, however I was curious about how long the boiler would last. Most current boilers could not be guaranteed to last longer than 25 years, however there was a absolutely nice boiler he said that came in cast iron plus lasted for around 40 or better. That’s what I wanted. I didn’t even care that it was so overpriced, it was also a combi boiler, plus a absolutely advanced type of system. I actually loved the controls too. Since having the current combi boiler installed, the two of us have been able to get rid of the old water heater. Our hot water supply is great now, plus the energy efficiency of this current boiler idea is outstanding.
