I messed up my HVAC units by trying to fix them myself
I cannot believe that I messed up my HVAC units trying to fix them.
- I must be the worst handyman that has ever lived.
At the very least, it might be the shortest time any person ever dreamed of being a handyman. I always considered myself to be the kind of person that could fix things. I enjoyed tinkering with things when I was younger, and my dad even taught me how to fix a few things. I haven’t used those skills in a few years, but I figured that it was probably time to bust those skills out, which is why I decided to try to fix my own central air conditioner. I have never fixed a central air conditioner before, but I have heard of people looking up videos online to learn how to fix their air conditioners. I did manage to find some videos featuring my specific model, and I began trying to repair my central air conditioner. I thought that things were going well. I replaced the part in my central air conditioner after a day or two, and I was pumped. However, when I tried to turn my central air conditioner on, nothing happened. I replaced a few more parts, and I experienced the same thing. I eventually called an HVAC technician, and he told me that I messed up one of the most important parts of the central air conditioner, and it was going to cost me a lot of money. Instead of saving money, I ended up spending more than I usually do. Maybe I am not cut out to fix HVAC units.
