When I relax, I don't want to listen to the sound of the boiler
When I moved to the city, I really didn’t know a lot about the city and all of the neighborhoods.
I knew that I needed to find a cheap place to live. I found an apartment above a painting shop and the rent was reasonable. The owner of the paint shop told me that heat and AC were included with the price of the rent. That sounded like a steal to me after I heard the monthly fees. Water was also included as one of my concessions. The apartment had a radiator for heat and a small window unit for the AC. The single radiator really didn’t provide a lot of heat in the apartment. Fortunately, I didn’t really have to worry about Heating in the apartment. Below my apartment in the shop, the paint shop used a commercial boiler for all of their heating needs. The boiler was located directly underneath my apartment. During the winter months when it was cold outside, I barely had to use the radiator in my apartment at all. The warm air and heat from the boiler made it feel like I had radiant heated floors. That was one of the most energy efficient and cheapest apartments that I have ever had. I lived in that place for three years before the owner of the paint shop had to sell and relocate. When that happened, I had to find a new place to live. The new owner of the building did not want to have a tenant living in the space above the shop area.
