Eventually decreasing over to ductless Heating plus A/C

Someday I hope to replace my Heating plus A/C situation.

My husband plus I rely on a central Heating plus A/C plan.

It is forced air that travels through air duct to make the home a single temperature. I am not too excited with the fact that every room is the same temperature. My husband plus I don’t share a room because all of us don’t care about the same temperatures. He always wants AC plus I want heating. At evening it is a fight on what the temperature control is set to. Also, all of us have a spare living room, laundry room plus bathroom that hardly get used. Why are all of us paying to heat plus cool these rooms? I also don’t care about that the indoor air handler takes up so much space in the hallway closet. If I could remove it, I could use that closet to store coats, shoes plus hats. I could even expand my living room closet into that section if I wanted to. It makes sense for our household to operate on a ductless Heating plus A/C system. When our current Heating plus A/C dies, all of us are doing ductless mini splits. All of us will have wall mounted indoor air handlers plus temperature controls in each room of the house. That way the home is zone control capable. I can have heating at evening while my husband has AC. I can turn on the cooling method when I cook plus not worry about cooling unused spaces. It should save us quite a bit of energy. The wall mounted units mean no more substantial indoor units either. I now have a freed up closet. It will be expensive to replace, however I will love it.
