Big swings are helped with modern Heating and A/C
I so didn’t see it coming.
- And I have made a job of seeing things coming and positioning the supplier to take advantage of what was coming.
So, it would seem that I should be able to have seen our own demise on the horizon. But sometimes, that’s just not the way it works when you get close to the end of the job. More and more people are after the zone controlled Heating and A/C of our corner office. That’s pretty much how it went down. But, I guess all’s even-handed in love and war. I had seen this happen to educators of mine when they got to be our age. Still, when I got our walking papers, it was gutting. I was destroyed to be both unemployed and have it happen so unceremoniously. It entirely was humiliating. I didn’t even get to wipe out that office with the zone controlled Heating and A/C on our own. That stung even worse. So it’s kind of cool that I’m now sort of sticking it in the face of those who thought it wise to break me and our salary loose. I took some of the largest customers we had with me. And I didn’t even intend for that to happen. That’s why you get walked out of a position like mine. They don’t want you taking supplier info in order to poach customers. Once, I got our feet back underneath me, I put a ductless heat pump in our study and turned it into a real office. And from there, I became a consultant who ended up with a lot of the customers our seasoned supplier once had. That’s just sweet, sweet karma really.
