For some time, I’d been feeling quite useless around the house. Ever since I got home from university, I had little direction in my life. All the job applications had fallen through, & I was starting to lose hope. Dad was getting worried, so she tried to take my mind off the issue. She asked myself and others to help her clean out the basement. We had talked about turning this space into a motion picture room for a long time, & now I had the time to help her. There was lots of aged furniture, tools, clothes, & boxes that all of us had to move. This would take some time because of all the sorting involved. As I removed some boxes, I came across some water on the floor from the A/C unit. The water from the A/C unit had been dripping for some time since the boxes were soaking wet. I called Dad to see the issue with the A/C unit then went online to book an Heating & Air Conditioning expert. I knew there must be some fault with the a/c & was blissful all of us had opted to transfer the boxes. The following afternoon, the A/C export arrived at our door, & all of us took him down to the basement. It turns out the issue was a blocked drainage pipe which was causing all the excess moisture to pour out of the a/c. The A/C expert used a solvent to remove the drainage pipe’s algae clogging. She also checked for other faults & found some cracks on the drainage pan. All in all, she left us with a properly working a/c, & now I was more determined to get the space done.
