The house had a couple of problems

A few years ago, my girlfriend and I decided to rent a beach house for an entire month.

  • I love surfing and spending all day at the beach and both of us work from our home.

We thought it was perfect to rent a beach house, because we still had the opportunity to work while enjoying all of the activities that we love. We looked at several different condos and houses, before we stumbled across the perfect property. My girlfriend and I loved the balcony off the bedroom with the wonderful view of the ocean. There was room in the driveway for both of our cars and our boat. The house seemed perfect, other than the fact that it was a little above our price range. We decided to splurge and we made the reservations Tuesday during the month of June. As soon as my girlfriend and I arrived, we realized that the online pictures were several years old. The house didn’t look as fresh and new as the online photographs. The paint was peeling outside and the flooring in the house needed to be updated. The condition of the house wasn’t the biggest problem. The biggest issue for us was the fact that the house didn’t have Central AC. The ad clearly stated that the house had Central AC. After we moved to the house, we even double-checked the advertisement. My girlfriend and I called the owner of the house and he tried to argue that the ductless AC units were the same thing. He wouldn’t refund any of our money, even though we were unhappy.
