Keeping the condo Heating in addition to A/C unit alive

I am honestly anxious about the next renter after me

My condo Heating in addition to A/C is a hunk of junk, the landlord was honestly clear that he would not answer my calls about Heating in addition to A/C related problems, but he told myself and others he got the Heating in addition to A/C unit freshly serviced. That was a lie; When I evaluated the air filter it was congested with hair, dirt in addition to pet dander, then clearly nobody had evaluated the machine, but luckily I am pretty handy with most machinery, then i cleaned the inside as best as I could in addition to I am on it with air filter swings. I always muck out my condensate drain, lubricate my motor belt in addition to wipe off the cooling coil. I realized that the outdoor unit was even at an angle. This allows coolant to all pool to 1 side of the unit in addition to it won’t cool as effectively. After leaving it out with some blocks, I had way more success. When I noticed the burnt hair stink with the gas furnace, I cleaned out the ductwork. I did not have any fancy hoses or scrub brushes adore a real Heating in addition to A/C contractor, I just did my best with what I had. It worked out pretty well though. The stink is gone. Anytime the Heating in addition to A/C unit threatens to quit or doesn’t work up to snuff, I am able to service it. I am honestly anxious about the next renter after me. That person won’t know what I do afternoon to afternoon to keep the furnace in addition to AC running. They won’t know how to keep this old, picky Heating in addition to A/C unit thrilled. They will be without temperature control within a month.
