Dog hair everywhere

I don’t think I’m the type of person who holds people to extremely high standards.

This is especially true when it comes to organization and cleanliness.

I’ve got to tell you, my life tends to be a mess and I do not expect any better from anybody else. This is one of the reasons why I think I’m generally pretty tolerant when I stay with my friends and family. However, recently I was on a trip across the country that exposed me to some of the nastiest indoor cleanliness conditions I’ve ever seen. I walked into my friend’s house last week and almost turned around to leave again. It wasn’t the stagnant air or the horrible smell that almost made me leave… It was the sight of dog hair everywhere. I absolutely love animals, but I do not love breathing pet fur and dander. My friend takes care of a lot of animals and unfortunately does not take care of their central heating, cooling, and air quality control system. The indoor air quality control devices obviously had a lot of wear and tear, fur buildup, and limited exposure to professional heating, cooling, and air quality control technicians. I could tell because every time the air conditioning unit started working, plumes of dog hair went flying through the house. It smelled absolutely disgusting and you could see a layer of dander settling onto all of the furniture. I stayed in their house for one day and left with a sinus infection after all of the exposure to their nasty heating, cooling, and air quality control system. To reimburse them for letting me stay the night, I arranged a professional HVAC appointment for them.
