Told kids they could have pool or AC

Has anyone ever told you that it’s strenuous being a parent? Right.

I suppose the two of us have all heard that a million times before…

And then I sign up to become parents ourselves, and wonder why it’s a strenuous battle. I suppose the two of us could really all just agree that having children is going to be a life-decreasing and brain exploding venture for most of us. Currently, I am trying to keep my kids healthy and cheerful throughout this long and humid Summer time that the two of us are stuck with. I swear, this is the hottest and most moist Summer on record in our area. We’ve all been suffering through the pounding sunlight and the sweaty air for a few weeks now. Our terrible air conditioner plan has been put through its paces every single day, and I am dreading the amount of wear and tear that the two of us have added onto our cooling system. When my kids started complaining that they were still too hot and they wanted a swimming pool I almost lost it. I decided, they can either have the swimming pool… Or they can have air conditioner. Take your pick. If they want to sleep without any cooling plan operating in the household, I am more than cheerful to let them have a pool. If they still want us to operate the AC unit to keep the new home chilly every day, the two of us have to keep currency available for utility bills and Heating, Ventilation, and A/C appointments. When the kids couldn’t make up their minds between the AC unit and swimming pool, I told them to fill up the bathtub and make the best of it.
