It’s crazy because my wife and I have been married for 25 years and we are still using the same HVAC system that we were given a long time ago for a wedding gift.
Back then, I didn’t even know anything about ductless HVAC systems.
Back then, it was something that was only popular overseas, and my buddy had the HVAC system imported. I asked him how I was going to have it installed and he said his brother was an HVAC professional, and he could help. We all helped with the HVAC installation and it didn’t cost very much. It was actually a lot easier than I imagined it would be. The only heart-wrenching moment was when they were drilling through the walls in my house to the outside. Apart from that though, everything wasn’t too bad. I remember my buddy said these systems would easily last 20 years, which I was skeptical about. Here I have been saving up for a new HVAC system since the 20 year mark, but we reached the 25 year mark and the HVAC system is finally dying on us. Considering how simple the HVAC system was to install back then, I’m actually thinking about replacing it myself by just buying a modern DIY ductless HVAC. The holes in my walls are already drilled and all the power hookups seem simple enough. I think I’m going to go for it. If I happen to need any help, I’ll just call up my old buddy and tell him to get a hold of his brother so we can get my ductless HVAC hooked up right.
