Is an air purifier a necessity?
Every time I called for service on our furnace or air conditioning unit, I was always asked if I was interested in a whole home air purification system.
I already had a dehumidifier for the air conditioning unit.
I was interested in having a humidifier installed in the furnace, but I had given any thought to an air purifier. I didn’t even know if an air purifier was a necessity for my HVAC system. Then, I heard about the virus. Everyone was washing everything that came into the house. They were stripping in their garages and putting their clothing right into the washer. The fear of carrying the virus into your home was running rampant. People were scared of not surviving Covid and being overly cautious. All of a sudden, I was remembering all those times I had been asked if I was interested in having a whole home air purification system installed and said no. I wanted to be able to take all those nos back and turn them into yesses. I was thinking how much safer I would feel if I had an air purification system installed. I called the HVAC company and asked if they could install one now. They told me I had to have a mask on the entire time I was there. Six feet had to be maintained between us. I couldn’t believe how many safety measures they had to follow, but I did know that it was all for my safety and theirs. I now have an air purification system installed and I am feeling safer.
