I didn’t think I was being rude to anyone

It’s my job to take care of everything around the office.

  • Sometimes being the office manager can be an incredibly strenuous job.

I have to hear all of the complaints from the employees. I have to hear all of the complaints from the customers that are upset about our services. I pride myself on being able to keep my cool and my composure under stress. It’s one of the reasons that I can perform the job so well. A couple of weeks ago, several employees came to me with complaints about the indoor air quality. I knew the indoor air quality was an issue and these employees were not the first ones to mention the poor indoor air quality. I knew that I had to do something to fix the issue with the air conditioner. I decided to call an air conditioner repair service. I had to wait a couple of days to get approval from the corporate office, but as soon as I got the go-ahead, I called the air conditioner repair service to send a technician. I spoke with the office manager at the air conditioner repair service and I told her that I was ready to have the work completed. She immediately told me that they don’t work on my schedule. I didn’t understand why he was being rude. I didn’t think I was being rude to anyone. Maybe she was having a bad day, but she certainly made me want to call another HVAC service provider. I can’t stand rude customer service representatives and this lady really took the cake.
