Not prepared for frigid weather
My whole family recently moved from the deep south to the far north.
My wife was gave a task option that included a significant spend money raise, plus the people I was with and I decided that relocating was worth it.
At the time, I didn’t fully understand the impact of sub zero temperatures, and none of us had ever seen snow before. All of us handled the move in early September plus the weather in our current location was easily gorgeous. The days were just frigid enough to require a sweater plus the days were hot enough to open up the windows; Within a few weeks, but, the temperature had dropped considerably. It only got up to the mid thirties while the people I was with and I were in the day, plus the people I was with and I were running the gas furnace non stop. The snow was pretty plus exciting for a couple of days. After that, I was sleepy of having wet feet plus needing to shovel plus scrape. None of us had any of the official clothing. All of us didn’t own snow boots, ice scrapers or snow shovels. I kept turning up the thermostat, plus never felt hot enough. I was consistently shivering. I couldn’t imagine the weather getting any worse, however it did. The temperature plummeted to twenty-two degrees below chilly. It snowed everyday, all day long, week after week. The Winter weather hung around until May. All of us had snow on Easter. I couldn’t think how much the people I was with and I spent on our heating bills. I called an Heating plus A/C professional to service the gas furnace because I was sure there was a problem. There was nothing wrong with the gas furnace. The serviceman recommended I install a humidifier plus lower the thermostat.
