I Love Controlling My Thermostat Settings
Although I miss working from an actual office every day, there are several perks that I’ve enjoyed by working from cabin instead.
- The first thing I love is that I don’t have to share stale coffee with everyone else.
The coffee in our break room is constantly cheap as well as stale as well as nobody buys the wonderful coffee creamer. The next thing I love about working from cabin is that I can use our own powder room. I love having a moment to myself in the comfort of our own home. I don’t have to worry about anyone waiting outside the door or leaving any smells. The third thing I’m affectionate about working from cabin is the control I have over the temperature. The temperature control setting was a yearly fight in our office because there were over 20 people working under one room, however someone was constantly too sizzling or too cold. Things became so exhausting with the temperature control settings that the supervisor had a lock box sited over the temperature control so it couldn’t be touched. The supervisor was the only one who had a key to unlock the box… As you can imagine, a lot of people were unhappy with this decision; Now that I’m working from home, I don’t have to worry about getting into an fight over the temperature. I can set the temperature control to whatever temperature I want, because I’m the one who owns it. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’m hesitant to return to the office. I guess everyone else has grown comfortable with their own temperature control settings.
