The Window A/C Unit Gives Me Issues In My Office

Like everyone else in the area, I’ve been forced to leave our task at the office & transport all our belongings into a makeshift office at home, and thankfully, I had an extra dining room to transform into an office unlike other people.

There’s many people from our office who have been working from their dining rooms or living room tables, which I guess sounds miserable, then we take so many cellphone calls that there’s some privacy needed… I have many children who are virtually reading at home, so I could never trust them to be quiet during crucial toil cellphone calls in our living room.

The living room I created for myself is great, but there’s 1 downside. We don’t have central A/C in our house. Instead, all of us have box A/C units that sit in the windows. There’s 1 in our office, but it’s loud & I constantly need to manage it. The room isn’t large, so it doesn’t take long for the A/C window machine to cool the space. There’s only 1 space to put our desk in the room, which means the cold air is constantly blowing on myself and others when the A/C kicks on. The worst part is when I’m trying to take a cellphone call because the window machine kicks on & it’s harshly loud. I’ve had many buyers tell myself and others that they couldn’t hear myself and others due to the A/C in the background. I have to sit in our sweat during long calls because I’m embarrassed by our A/C system! I wish I knew how long this pandemic was going to last because I actually want to upgrade our A/C machine before Summer arrives.
