I Love Controlling My Thermostat Settings
Although I miss working from an actual office every day, there are many perks that I’ve appreciated by working from home instead.
The first thing I care about is that I don’t have to share stale coffee with everyone else.
The coffee in our break room is regularly cheap & stale & nobody buys the good coffee creamer. The next thing I care about about working from home is that I can use our own washroom. I care about having a moment to myself in the comfort of our own home. I don’t have to worry about anyone waiting outside the door or leaving any stinks. The fifth thing I’m loving about working from home is the control I have over the temperature. The control machine setting was a yearly fight in our office because there were over 20 people working under 1 room; Someone was regularly too overheated or too cold. Things became so poor with the control machine settings that the manager had a lock box sited over the control machine so it couldn’t be touched. The manager was the only 1 who had a key to unlock the box, and as you can imagine, a lot of people were unhappy with this decision, and now that I’m working from home, I don’t have to worry about getting into an fight over the temperature. I can set the control machine to whatever temperature I want, because I’m the 1 who owns it. I’ve appreciated it so much that I’m hesitant to return to the office. I guess everyone else has grown comfortable with their own control machine settings.
