I didn’t expect to deal with so much humidity in the South
I actually lived up north for most of my life.
I was actually happy when I was given the opportunity to move to another place altogether.
My boss said we were starting business down in the South and he wanted me to start working down there right away. He was providing me with housing and everything which I thought sounded nice. The thing is, I didn’t know anything about living in the South and I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, when I got down there, my house was really nice. I actually had a heat pump instead of a regular central HVAC system. The heat pump is pretty interesting and I learned that it is entirely energy efficient. As a matter of fact, people say this part of the country is home to the heat pump. I have always been used to having multiple heating sources and usually a fireplace, but this home was not equipped with anything like that. Evidently, the cooling system was the most important thing and that’s what you needed to maintain in order to survive some of the warmer weather conditions. Also, the humidity was something that I was not expecting. Fortunately as the heat pump works to push the heating energy out of the house, it also pushes out a lot of the humidity as well which is really nice. I also have a dehumidifier which helps a great deal. It’s just difficult for me to get used to the humidity levels when I’m going places. I do appreciate that the climate control system at my workplace is great and the air quality isn’t too bad.
