A proper A/C tune-up should contain a few major components

Now is the time to think about having a tune-up performed on the air conditioner.

The temperature is starting to get warmer and the humidity is starting to increase.

It won’t be long before the temperatures are soaring into the 90s and we have to use the air conditioner every single day. My wife and I always have a proper tune-up performed on the AC system before the weather is too warm and humid. A proper AC tune up should contain a few major steps. During the tune up, it’s important that the HVAC technician test all of the electrical connections and ensure that the mechanical systems are working properly. They should make sure that the thermostat is working and registering the right temperature. The AC technician should check the refrigerant levels inside of the air conditioner. The condenser, evaporator coils, and condenser lines should all be examined and cleaned. During the tune up, the HVAC technician should apply lubricant to all of the moving parts and replace any worn parts that may break in the immediate future. If you have a proper service technician from a reputable and certified heating and air conditioning company perform the tune up, they should perform all of these services and more. When my wife and I have the AC company perform our tune-up, they provide us with an inspection report that shows more than 100 different items that are visually inspected during the service. They also change the air filter and clean around the outdoor components. They provide a great, full service inspection for a reasonable price.
