When I first got a couple of window air conditioning units for our house, I thought I was saving a lot of money by not having to invest in a central air conditioning. After a few weeks, I realized our energy costs were higher than ever. I really wished that I had invested in a enjoyable central air conditioning system, but then something crazy happened. I always had a bad feeling about those window air conditioning units because they are in the windows. The windows can obviously not be shut all the way and it wouldn’t be all that strenuous for somebody to cut into our home. Well, one afternoon when I came from work, it finally happened. Somebody broke into our loft through the windows by knocking down the window air conditioning unit in one of the windows. They took a bunch of stuff from our house, including both window air conditioning units. I was actually disappointed, and I ended up having to call the police to make a report. They told myself and others that I genuinely should have gone with a central air conditioning system because those window air conditioning units leave houses vulnerable to break-ins, however even though I was aggravated that our loft had been broken into, I tried to look at the bright side of things. At least I was going to get a central air conditioning system and I would be able to save more money on the energy costs. I was mad though that I had to replace the windows, even though I got quality windows that are almost impossible to break.
