Ventilation system improves comfort plus air quality

The weather extremes in my local part necessitate heating plus cooling just about year round.

The cost of temperature control accounts for approximately half of my annual utility bills.

Energy efficiency is a big priority. I’ve gone to good lengths to seal up any leaks in the thermal envelopes. Along with replacing windows plus doors, I’ve meticulously caulked, weatherstripped plus insulated. I’ve installed ceiling fans to help push the heat toward the floor while in the Winter time plus send it up plus out while in the summer. I am diligent about replacing air filters plus scheduling preventative repair in the fall for the oil furnace plus in the Springtime for the a/c. While I’ve done a great job of reducing expenses, I’ve also eliminated natural ventilation. Fresh air is necessary for healthy air quality. Otherwise, contaminants become trapped inside, and cooking, cleaning, showering plus all sorts of everyday activities add to the problem. Pet dander, dust, fumes, bacteria, viruses plus modl spores get circulated by the heating plus cooling system several times per day. The lack of ventilation can lead to health troubles. The ideal solution is a ventilation system that works to pull out the stale air plus update it with fresh, clean, outside air. I chose a heat reusey ventilator that uses the outgoing air to preheat the incoming air in the winter. This helps to reduce the workload of the oil furnace. Since adding the ventilation system, I’ve noticed that the living environment is more comfortable. The modern home stays cleaner, odors fresher plus my family has fewer concerns with headaches, sleeplessness, coughing, sneezing plus sore throats.
