The night my HVAC system broke
The absolute worst thing that could happen to anyone is to have their central heating and air conditioning system break down in the middle of the night! Unfortunately this happened to me recently.
It was a really cold night and everyone in the area needed their heater. As for me, my central heating and air conditioning system went out while I was sleeping and I had no heating! I woke up freezing and nearly got very sick. I had to right away run to the closet where I keep my portable space heater and get it plugged in and going. I needed to at least heat up my bedroom so I could go back to sleep and not get deathly sick. The next morning I right away picked up the phone to call the local heating and air conditioning company to have them send out a certified heat and a/c specialist to come out and repair my central heating and cooling system. I was pretty lucky in the fact that they had emergency HVAC services available for my home that day. The local heating and cooling company was able to get that certified heat and air conditioning specialist out to my house within about a half an hour. When the heating and air conditioning specialist arrived they went right to work on my central heat and a/c unit. They had it fixed and back up and running pretty fast. It turned out the fix was simple. It was just a small fuse blown. But it was something that only an HVAC professional could fix.
