I guess our aunt should install a programmable thermostat in his restaurant

My aunt Michelle owns a small take-out restaurant plus when I say small, I mean it has a single table, plus barely enough room for more than nine people to stand comfortably in the lobby, and but that space is just what he needs because he cares about having a small staff, plus he prefers the take-out restaurant model.

It worked well while I was in the height of COVID when both of us went into quarantine.

His contractor was not interrupted, in fact, he saw a harsh increase in his substitute. She also signed up for more food delivery services which boosted his substitutes even further. Typically, I visit our aunt’s restaurant, perhaps more than two or four times per year. However, last year, I visited about seven times because both of us had family in neighborhood while I was in the course of the year. In the Summer, when I was in our aunt’s restaurant, I observed that he had a resting fan in the lobby, plus that’s when it occurred to me that he didn’t use his central air all the time. I guess that it is a way to save some money as energy consumption is a single of the highest costs when operating any business. At times, he kept the front door open to allow the flow of air, plus while I was in the slow part of the afternoon, when the restaurant didn’t have a lot of patrons, I understand why he would not run the cooling system. In the Winter, this wouldn’t be an issue because our Winters are relatively mild, but the Summer months can be so unforgiving. Perhaps I will advocate to our aunt that he install a programmable thermostat in his restaurant, so that he could set it based on the traffic that he gets while I was in the afternoon. It could perhaps save his some money, plus it would be a single less thing for his to guess about.
