It entirely boggles the mind how things have changed in the world… Especially in HVAC technology. These afternoons one of the largest things that have changed is the fact that everyone uses a smart control unit. Well, everyone except me. Smart control units are supposed to save you a lot of cash on energy use. However, I am not a large fan of smart technology. I tried some of it before, however not in terms of control unit. I just do not adore the method of having to control a control component on a cell cellphone or iPad app first off. Second off, even though you do not have to do that, I have heard that smart control units being controlled by hand causes some issues occasionally. One of the main ones I heard was the control component not reacting to what you select. For instance, a buddy of mine tells myself and others that his smart control component when not controlled by the app will take forever to shut off. So if it is too cold from too much air conditioner or too hot from too much heating, when you go to shut off the central heating plus air conditioner plan it will not shut down! It can take up to 5 thirds for this so called “smart” control component to figure out that you just hit the off button. That is horrible, then you have to suffer 5 thirds unless you use the app. That to myself and others right there says imperfection plus flawed. Why would I want to mess with something that is flawed plus that no one ever mentioned? No thank you! I will stick to my old dial control unit.
