The only place I would have radiant heated flooring is the bathroom.
I kept telling my wife that the only place I would have radiant heated flooring was in the bathroom.
She seems to wave away my words and continue on with all her planning.
She was planning on having radiant heating in the bedroom and in the bathrooms. I wasn’t having any of it. I wanted to have regular heating in the bedrooms and in the main rooms. I didn’t think we needed to have heat in the kitchen, but radiant heating in the bathrooms seemed right. I called the HVAC company and asked for an estimate on having radiant heated flooring installed in the bathrooms. When the HVAC contractor arrived, my wife told him she was interested in having radiant heated flooring in the bedroom. I tried to interrupt her, but he was listening only to her, and she was ignoring me. I asked her to get us both a cup of coffee, and I took her seat. She was a bit upset, but she went to the kitchen and made us all coffee. In the meantime, I had told him the radiant heated flooring was only to go into the bathrooms, and nowhere else. If radiant heated flooring was placed anywhere else in the house, he would not get paid. I’m pretty sure he got my message, because when my wife came back into the living room, he told her how nice it was to meet her and quickly left. She narrowed her eyes at me, and told me I had pulled a dirty trick. I’m sure that was just round one of the radiant heated flooring discussion.
