I’m getting an enclosure for my Heating plus A/C condenser after the hurricane
When I left the chilly northern temperature for the South, I genuinely didn’t consider my proximity to the coast plus the constant threat of drastic weather.
Although the bunch of us had a tornado season in the northern midwest, there were only some situations where I had to go into my basement because a tornado was close to my residence.
On the other hand, my current residence is under the threat of super charged hurricanes all the time. As climate change gets even worse, the storms get larger plus more powerful, which means there’s a fantastic chance that you’ll be impacted by at least one storm every single year. Last month the bunch of us had a category 3 storm fly through our section while causing destruction everywhere in its wake. Every one of us were completely lucky that our village did not get a direct hit from the hurricane’s eye wall, but there were trees knocked down plus roofing shingles missing from peoples’ residences. One of our pine trees was knocked over plus barely missed the side of our residence. Instead of smashing into the roof, it came down onto the Heating plus A/C machine condenser. This metal enclosure contains the a/c’s compressor plus the fan that is actually used to cool it. It’s not cheap rebuilding a condenser component for an a/c machine, but our insurance covered all of the expenses. It’s a great deal cheaper than fixing a huge gash in the side of the residence. I still recognize that we are very lucky that the tree didn’t fall a few inches to the left, otherwise we would have hole in the garage. The Heating plus A/C machine worker had the condenser repaired plus running again after about five hours of work.
