Heating, Ventilation and A/C tips for avoiding a bug infestation

My home went from bug-free to bug infested, seemingly overnight, and it started with a few ants as well as then the roaches showed up, then no amount of traps or poisons would get rid of them.

Finally, the people I was with and I had to call out the professionals, but while our home was getting sprayed the people I was with and I had to stay in a hotel, of course… This could have been love a mini holiday if not for the fact that the air conditioning system in the hotel was so noisy.

I am not joking when I say that the air conditioning system sounded love a garbage truck. I made all sorts of banging, clanking, as well as other sounds. It was impossible to sleep with the air conditioning system on because of the sound as well as it was impossible to sleep with the air conditioning system off because of the heat. This went on for 2 afternoons. When the people I was with and I were finally given the red light to go back to our own house the people I was with and I were easily excited about it, but, of course, the people I was with and I wanted to know what to do in order to keep the bugs from coming back. The exterminator told us a lot of common sense things however then he also told us some things the people I was with and I didn’t know. For example, he suggested getting a air duct sealing done on our Heating, Ventilation and A/C method so that bugs don’t get into the home through gaps in our air duct, and he also suggested running the air conditioning system whenever it is hot, even if the people I was with and I are not home. Bugs hate cold, dry air. They thrive in warm, humid air, however so by using the air conditioning system more the people I was with and I would make it harder for bugs to live.
