I guess we’re going to get a wall mounted Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit for the great room
I guess that we’re going to have to get some sort of a wall mounted Heating, Ventilation plus A/C unit for the great room at our house.
The great room is our absolute favorite room in the entire house, however the air quality in there is simply terrible.
The room has a twenty foot ceiling plus so it’s entirely difficult to keep the heat plus the a/c in there. In the summer, the room is so boiling plus stuffy with the sun coming in through the windows that I can barely stand to stand in there with a book in our favorite chair. I hate to waste the room, though, since it’s so charming plus has such comfortable furniture. There’s also a wood burning fireplace, which I appreciate to stand by in the days after work. Well, now that it’s winter, it’s a weird sort of complication in the great room. Now, no matter how long the people I was with and I have the furnace going, the great room is still freezing cold. Even if I’m sitting right next to the fireplace, the temperature in the great room is usually still freezing freezing in the days while the people I was with and I were in the winter. I talked to the guy down at our local Heating, Ventilation plus A/C business plus he said that there’s not much that you can do in a situation like ours except possibly put in a ductless mini split a/c unit for that particular room. That’s because the people I was with and I would not want to ruin the aesthetic of the great room by trying to put in additional HVAC duct into the ceiling, walls, or floors.
