My husband thinks that he can fix anything
My husband is one of those guys who thinks that he can fix anything just by watching a video or two here and there.
And while I appreciate the fact that he tries to fix things himself and save us money most of the time, sometimes I think that we should just break down and hire an actual professional to do things around our house.
For instance, our furnace system stopped working a couple of weeks ago and we absolutely had to get it fixed. I mean, it’s basically the beginning of winter and the temperatures around here are not exactly tropical during the winter. We routinely have below freezing temperatures here in the winter and so the furnace has to be in good working order during this time of the year. My husband was so mad that the furnace stopped working that he actually took the whole day off of work so that he could stay home and watch videos on how to repair your oil furnace yourself. I was upstairs most of the day, freezing by the fireplace and trying to stay warm in the house since the heating system was broken. I told my husband that we needed to just call our local HVAC company but he was having none of it. He said that he would be able to fix it himself if he could just find the right furnace repair video. Well, it turned out that he couldn’t actually figure out how to fix it himself and he ended up wasting a lot of time messing around with it.
