I Love Controlling My Thermostat Settings
Although I miss working from an actual office every day, there are several perks that I’ve enjoyed by working from home instead.
The first thing I love is that I don’t have to share stale coffee with everyone else.
The coffee in our break room is always cheap and stale and nobody buys the good coffee creamer. The next thing I love about working from home is that I can use my own bathroom. I love having a moment to myself in the comfort of my own home. I don’t have to worry about anyone waiting outside the door or leaving any odors. The third thing I’m loving about working from home is the control I have over the temperature. The thermostat setting was a daily argument in our office because there were over 20 people working under one room. Someone was always too hot or too cold. Things became so bad with the thermostat settings that the manager had a lock box placed over the thermostat so it couldn’t be touched. The manager was the only one who had a key to unlock the box. As you can imagine, a lot of people were unhappy with this decision. Now that I’m working from home, I don’t have to worry about getting into an argument over the temperature. I can set the thermostat to whatever temperature I want, because I’m the one who owns it. I’ve enjoyed it so much that I’m hesitant to return to the office. I know everyone else has grown comfortable with their own thermostat settings.
