The three HVAC house
I am in the process of buying my forever home.
I hate touring different houses in the neighborhood. No matter what, there is going to be a feature that I hate about it. The one house I toured I just loved it, most of it at least. It had a gorgeous living room with hardwood floors and ceiling to floor glass windows. It made the room look so open, airy and spacious. There was a breakfast bar set up that led right into the kitchen. I could cook in the kitchen while talking to someone in the living room. I wanted it so bad. After touring the outside of it though, I had to pass. The outside lawn was a decent size and well taken care of. The downside was that there were three HVAC units. I knew a laundry room and another bathroom were added later. The one HVAC system was for that. That means that two other heating and cooling machines were there before. Why so many HVAC systems for a not big house? I think there was something really wrong with it. I think the three HVAC systems were necessary to maintain a certain temperature. I nixed the house because I didn’t want to mess around with repairs and service for three machines. One HVAC device is kind of annoying. You need to change air filters, clean out the inside and call for yearly maintenance. Having that same job times three would have been horrible. I do think about that house from time to time. I just loved that living room.
