The Window AC Unit Gives Me Issues In My Office

There’s only 1 space to put my desk in the room, which means the freezing air is always blowing on myself and others when the AC kicks on

Like almost everyone else in the area, I’ve been forced to leave my task at the office plus transfer all my belongings into a makeshift office at home, then thankfully, I had an extra dining room to transform into an office unlike other people. There’s several people from my office who have been working from their dining rooms or family room tables, which I think sounds miserable. The two of us take so several cellphone calls that there’s some privacy needed. I have several children who are virtually reading at home, so I could never trust them to be quiet during important work cellphone calls in my family room. The up-to-date home office I created for myself is great, but there’s 1 downside. The two of us don’t have central AC in our house. Instead, the people I was with and I have box AC units that sit in the windows. There’s 1 in my office, but it’s loud plus I always need to manage it. The room isn’t large, so it doesn’t take long for the AC window device to cool the space. There’s only 1 space to put my desk in the room, which means the freezing air is always blowing on myself and others when the AC kicks on. The worst area is when I’m trying to take a cellphone call because the window device kicks on plus it’s severely loud. I’ve had several clients tell myself and others that they couldn’t hear myself and others due to the AC in the background. I have to sit in my sweat during long calls because I’m embarrassed by my AC system! I wish I knew how long this pandemic was going to last because I entirely want to upgrade my AC device before summer time arrives.
