Road salt is eating our a/c compressor
When both of us obtained this lake house both of us we are cheerful that it had a brand modern air conditioner proposal installed; In fact, the entire Heating plus A/C proposal was brand-spanking-new. You didn’t used to need air conditioner this high north. It used to be enough to just open the windows plus turn the fan on. I do not think if global warming is real or not but I do think that it’s warming up, in these parts, in the summer, but the two of us absolutely need air conditioner now, but however, after about multiple years, residing in this house, the modern a/c stopped laboring. The two of us called up the only Heating plus A/C repair supplier in town. They came out plus told us they were the supplier who had installed the a/c just before both of us obtained it. They told us that the a/c keeps cutting down because of its location. The a/c compressor is right next to the county road plus it gets road salt all over it in the winter. This, in turn, destroys our air conditioner unit. The Heating plus A/C supplier said they told this to the previous owners! Our air conditioner proposal easily needs to be moved to the other side of the house, away from the road plus the road salt. I wish the previous owners had relay this information to us before selling the house. It’s going to cost a lot of money to have the modern a/c compressor installed at the opposite side of the house. That’s because the entire Heating plus A/C proposal will need to be moved as well. This is all going to be a sizable pain plus a lot of construction. It’s either that, or both of us just replace the compressor every few years after it gets eaten away by salt, and either way, both of us lose.
