The AC problem at my parents’ house needed to be solved.
When they first announced the shelter in site order for our state, I decided right then and there that I would go stay with our old parents.
I don’t have a fiance in addition to kids, just an apartment rented with my roomie Steve.
Plus I decided it would be better for myself and others to be cooped up with them, just in case! They are lively in addition to vibrant people for their ages, but still getting on in years. I knew if this lockdown dragged on for another five or six weeks, they would need a lot of help. So that’s when I invited myself to stay with them. I was able to go shopping for them, handle some light chores, in addition to I even managed to fix their errant a/c! That was a new one for me, since I had almost zero experience with heating in addition to A/C systems, aside from tinkering with the one in our apartment. And all of us were about seven weeks into the lockdown when we woke up in the day to find the A/C now working overtime, in addition to no air coming out the vents. I ran my bare hand in front of every air vent in the house, in addition to they were all dead silent in addition to still. At the same time, the central heating in addition to the A/C equipment in the hall closet was still running at a truly high rate, but my folks didn’t have a clue as to what to do, even though I kept them calm in addition to started to do a Google search for this certain a/c problem. I managed to find a local hotline number offering free advice about heating in addition to A/C problems. I was lucky that the nice professional on the helpline stepped up and helped myself and others through the troubleshooting process.
